Why Did I Start Selling Avon?

Well, the reason I started was simple. I Started selling AVON To save money.  Surprised? I bet you thought I would say to make money.  Well, it didn’t start that way.6355840185_8e1c4d8f11_b

I was going to place an order with a representative at work.  I didn’t know her, but always loved AVON products since I was a little and was happy to see a catalog and the great deals in there.  I thought, well, why should I buy from someone else when I could start my own business for such a small investment and get a great discount!

So I did my research and found out that selling AVON included digital selling and a free webstore.  I am pretty technical so I joined under the top eSelling Representative figuring she would be the best mentor for me if I were going to make a go of it.  As part of her team, I have complete access to all her training and mentoring, as does my team.

I started a bank account and put $100 in it.  I told myself that if I didn’t have at least that much after a year, then I would stop selling.  I needed a safety net.

Over the next few months I gradually built my business and really liked how owning my selling-is-easyown business made me feel.  I still worked my full-time day job, and worked my AVON business as I had time.  I was able to take a vacation, took time off due to an illness and hospitalization, and STILL managed to make my goal of seeing $10,000 worth of product before the end of the year.  That put me in the President’s club, and guaranteed me a MINIMUM of 40% earnings on orders of any size.  It was an ambitious goal for sure, but when I made it I felt like 1 million dollars!  While I started to save money, I found selling AVON was possibly a missing piece of my life.  I love being an AVON Representative because I love the products and helping people. I started thinking that not only could I save money, but I could make it too!  Selling Avon and growing my team could help pay for the kids’ activities, family vacations, anything and everything.

As mentioned above, I get lots of free training for online selling and so does my team.  free-training-availThe training is a tremendous add-on value and makes me realize I am part of the right team!

After the year, I had about $450 in that bank account.  Not a lot, but then I have bought lots of supplies, a laser printer, storage bookcase, demos and samples.  I have saved lots of money on products for my family, and I have a great jewelry collection too!  On a side note, I think the Avon Jewelry is a hidden gem.  It is so affordable, but doesn’t look it!

Finding the time to work my business can be a challenge, but it only has to grow as quickly as I can handle.  I am happy I made my decision to start selling, and am now working on earning trips with Avon and various other incentives.
