It’s Bug Season, are You Ready?!?

how to protect yourself and your family

So it happens every year, cold weather goes away and the warm weather comes. And we’re all really excited to get outside.  Unfortunately with the warm weather comes the bugs that bite, cause itching, and even worse… can make you sick. So how are you going to handle protecting yourself and your family this year? Sure, you could use the same stinky bug spray, cover up, stay inside, and other un-fun stuff.  But isn’t it time for you to  try other alternatives to keep the bugs away? If you’re sitting outside, citronella candles help. But sometimes you need more, and sometimes you’re active outside and not hanging around candles. If that’s the case, consider trying one of the most well-known names in skin care. Skin So Soft.

Skin So Soft Original Spray Oil

Skin So Soft original oil is not marketed as a bug repellent, but among its many uses, it does repel insects very well. So if you wanted to go the more natural route, give Skin So Soft original spray oil a try.  As a bonus, your skin will be hydrated!

Need a Stronger Bug Repellent?

With Zika and other transmittable illnesses, sometimes you need to count on something stronger to protect you and your family. If that’s the case, Avon has two different lines of Bug Guard, neither of which contain DEET.

Bug Guard Expedition with IR3535

The first is intended for daytime and includes SPF 30. BONUS! Bug guard Expedition with IR3535 is our daytime Bug Repellent product. It comes in two different size pump spray bottles, and also a spray can.  For more traditional sunblock uses, it comes in a gentle breeze lotion as well as a blue tinted lotion that will turn clear. The blue tint helps ensure that you fully cover the person you’re putting it on. Think about squirmy kids 🙂

Bug Guard with Picaridin

Bug guard with Picaridin does not have any SPF in it, but it is perfect for evening, dusk or early in the morning. This product comes in two different size pump sprays, a can spray, and the super popular individually wrapped towelettes. I always get the towelettes and send them off with my kids when they’re out for the day or when they’re going to camp.

One of the great things about Bug Guard bug spray is that it that neither formula need to be washed off. The ingredients in many other bug sprays need to be physically washed off to be removed at the end of the day.

So, think about getting Skin So Soft bug guard to try this summer. If you don’t love it, you can get your money back with no questions asked.

Wishing you a bug-free Summer!
