We all know when it’s time to change our wardrobe, it gets a little too chilly for those tank tops, and then even the short sleeves. We look for the light jackets and then soon the coats follow after. Seasonally changing your clothing is nothing new, but did you also realize you should be changing your makeup?
Summer foundations are light in texture and the color is probably darker than your normal skin tone. My favorite foundations are the cream-to-powder varieties. I put it on with a big fluffy powder brush and am out the door super fast!
But for Fall, Winter and into early Spring, you need to re-evaluate. Go with a lighter color, one that disappears into your jawline. You should also think creamy for comfortable coverage and extra hydration. All that dry winter air from heating will do a number on your skin’s texture. I prefer a full coverage liquid foundation to keep my skin looking flawless. I apply by dotting towards the center of my face and then spreading with my fingers. I then take a foundation brush and a magnifying mirror to smooth out uneven application spots. This will give you an airbrushed look!
I hope this helps you lay the foundation for great foundation😜, no matter what time of year it is!
